The work that keeps a sanctuary standing

Retired horses need two things every single day: careful hands and safe land. Both come from volunteers. Come once, come monthly, come with your whole team.

Horse care

Hands-on time with senior and unrideable horses. We train every volunteer — beginners are genuinely welcome.

•Morning and evening feeding
•Grooming, fly masks and turnout
•Mucking stalls and paddocks
•Water troughs and hay nets
•Quiet companionship for anxious horses

Land maintenance

If you can swing a hammer, run a mower or stack a bale, you can keep horses safe.

•Fence repair and post setting
•Brush clearing and mowing
•Pasture rotation and seeding
•Hay hauling and stacking
•Barn, shed and gate repairs
