Our horses

The horses who come to Re-Write Rescue are usually at the end of someone else's plan: a lameness that ended a career, an age that ended a job, an injury that made them unrideable. Unrideable doesn't mean unwanted. Here, retirement is the beginning of a new chapter, not the end of a useful life.

Some of our horses live out quiet days in pasture. Others become teachers in the Wayfinders Learning Center round pen, where their honesty helps people learn about presence and leadership. Every horse is cared for as an individual.
